A tasty league in counter was in store and it didn’t let us down as Blair Thistle beat a hard fighting Clydebank side. Who can count themselves unlucky not to come away with at least a point.
The Thistls goals came from Jamie Fadian and Kyle Gorman. Clydebank’s goal came from Cameron McGrath. Thistles victory can be credited to tenacious defending, but never the less took their chances.
The game started off at a blistering pace.  Blair Thistle received a corner Kyle Gorman took for Jamie Fadian to head home from six yards out. It was a brilliant start to the game for Blair Thistle.
From then on in the half the Bankies had several chances to equalise. The pick of the chances fell to Darren Omnet as the bankies countered his shot was saved well by the thistle ‘keeper Andrew Campbell.

Again the game started at a blistering pace. Cameron McGrath finished a well
Worked Clydebank move to bring them back onto level terms.
Soon after this the Bankies had a chance to go into the lead with clever play between Robbie MacKenzie and Sean Donnelly leading to a half volley for the later
They failed to convert and where made to pay the price as soon after this Gorman prodded home after following up on a parried shot.
A flurry of chances fell Clydebank’s way for them to come back into the match again.  MacKenzie nearly brought them level but his header just went wide.
Thistle Launched a counter attack through Callum Carlin but a good tackle Lewis Burnside stopped him from progressing through into a 1 on 1 effort.
Yet again had a chance to equalise the Bankies had an indirect free kick but McGrath only managed to hit the wall, from the corner he also headed over and can count himself unlucky that he never scored more than one goal in the game.
In the final minutes of the game chances fell to both sides as but McGraths shot fell into the keepers hands. The final chance of the game fell to Thistle but Fadian failed to get his hat-trick.

The half volley that fell to Mackenzie, would have been a wonderful goal.
The first goal gave them a brilliant start to the match and a platform to build on.
