Larkhall march on as Mill United bow out

Written by  Larkhall United AFC

Fixture: Larkhall United AFC v Mill United
Competition: Under 14's LFDA Cup
Date: 22/03/15
Mill United were on the front foot in the early part of the first half, hitting the bar and post as well as bringing a good close range save from Larkhall's Sam Danks.
Larkhall grew into the first half and slightly against the run of play took the lead from a Derren Cross strike from outside the box which flew in just under the bar, giving the home side the lead going into half time.
The second half was a bit more evenly competed, but it was Larkhall who added to their lead with a long range free kick from Callum Milller. Both teams tried hard to get the next crucial goal and it was Mill United who struck through a penalty in the later half of the second half.
Neither team really managed to make any further clear chances but through no lack of effort from both sides.
A competitive tie with some good hard work on show from all players finally finished 2-1 to Larkhall United.
