Dunblane claimed their second trophy this season after overcoming Stirling High school in an extraordinary eight goal thriller. The Forth valley Cup caps off an already successful season for the side who have also claimed the league title.  However Dunblane were by no stretch given an easy ride by a well organised Stirling side who gave everything.

Dunblane came out the blocks early on and in no time were in front as Fraser Cramb put through Sean Brown on goal who managed to coolly slot the ball underneath Goalkeeper Lewis Forbes to begin what turned out to be a very impressive performance for the player.
It was beginning to look as if Dunblane were beginning a simulation of their 5-0 win from the last time the two sides met back in September until a Stirling free kick taken to the right of goal allowed Ross Mcgown to rocket the ball off the top left hand post and in to level the tie.
The game rose to life as more drama ensued when a Dunblane cross was gathered by Sean Brown on the right who struck the ball straight back across where  a deflection off of Defender Innocent Maramba’s foot sent the ball hurtling in to the back of his own net.
Both teams battled end to end from then on with strong defending from both sides preventing any shots on goal. An in swinging corner from Cramb was dealt with resolutely by Stirling Defender Connor Hird who headed clear.
Dunblane then made it three from a set piece as Brown was brought down just outside the box by Nathan Stirling, who received the only Yellow card of the match. Brown’s looping shot was palmed on to the crossbar by Forbes who could only watch as Fraser Cramb knocked in the rebound.
Dunblane dominated for a period as Sean Brown showed tremendous strength as he muscled past opposition players to pick out Jack Steven whose direct shot forced Forbes into making a dramatic save.
There was another twist however as mayhem in the Dunblane box resulted in a Stirling penalty. Ross McGown stepped up to send Callum Davidson the wrong way to make it 3-2.

A resurgent Stirling side sprung to life again as they caught Dunblane cold on the counter attack. Lucas Berits’ cross found Robert McKenzie on the right hand side who made no mistake in sending the ball past Davidson to level the match. The striker celebrated emphatically with a hands out, ‘whatcha gonna do’ pose to much adulation from fellow pupils watching on.
Dunblane went in front again not long into the second half when Jack Steven’s high cross from a corner was met by a Brown header.
Stirling pressed for a reply to no avail with several crosses from Maramba who exhibited great invention on the left hand side.
After relentless end to end pressure from both sides, substitute Greg Hurst muscled his way to the by line and cut the ball back to Sean Brown who wrapped up his hat-trick with a cool finish.
Just before the final whistle Brown was unlucky not to score as he charged through on goal and negotiated round goalkeeper Forbes only for his shot to canon off the post and go out.
