Syngenta Juveniles lifted the Central Region Cup after an emphatic 6-1 victory over Dalziel BC.
The final which had it all, from sublime goals to an abundance of drama, burst into life with just under 20 minutes on the clock.
Flynn Gray gratefully hoovered up Alex Thomson’s mishit with the deftest of flicks to edge his side in front.
Syngenta had a second in bizarre circumstances four minutes later, when a miscommunication between Dalziel’s Jamie Halliday and his goalkeeper resulted in the defender passing the ball into his own net.
The Dyes were in dreamland nine minutes before the break as Robbie McCafferty whipped in a deadly cross for Gray to side-foot volley in his second and his team’s third of the afternoon.
However, Dalziel were not prepared to concede defeat and had a lifeline with 40 minutes on the clock. A clumsy challenge on Adam Barton meant the Lanarkshire side were awarded a penalty, which Barton duly dispatched.
Syngenta had a golden opportunity to restore their lead on half-time when they were given a penalty of their own. McCafferty was hauled down by Joshua Brodie but as he ran up to take the kick, he lost his footing and sent the ball wide.
