Two goals in each half for Camelon Juniors saw them defeat Kilsyth Athletic 4-0 in this CSFA 'A' Division League match.
First half goals from Connor Armstrong and Charlie Lansdown in the space of two minutes put them in the lead at half time. Lewis Hall and Ryan Shearer's goals in the second half rounded off the scoring on a good outing for Camelon.
The game started in a scrappy manner with both teams trying to keep a hold of the ball.
The first chance in the game came for Camelon. Thomas Hodgkins collected the ball on the half way line and floated the ball over the Kilsyth defence to Kai Flynn who's cross from the right found Charlie Lansdown on the edge of the box who's shot at goal was arrowed for the bottom left corner but a great save from Kaiden Ashmall in the Kilsyth goal kept the score at 0-0.
Kilsyth then had a half-chance of their own. A nice 1-2 on the left between Blair Buchanan and Sean Murray, gave Murray the space to play the ball out to Brandon Burns on the wing, who put a dangerous cross in which had to be cleared by the Camelon defence.
Camelon opened the scoring 10 minutes before half-time. Great work on the edge of the box by Felix Hall who avoided challenges from the Kilsyth defence and played the ball into Connor Armstrong who smashed the ball into the back of the net at the keepers near post.
Only a minute later, Camelon were 2-0 up. Kilsyth failed to clear, and Kai Flynn was on the edge of the box to collect the ball and play a pass into the box for Charlie Lansdown who put the ball past the outrushing Ashmall.
