An eagerly awaited Scottish Cup tie for both sides took place on Sat 26th Oct.
Despite early pressure from the home side, Fairmuir were first to score when a 20 yard curling shot deceived the Syngenta keeper and ended in the bottom corner after 10 minutes.
Syngenta continued to enjoy the bulk of possession and following several missed chances were rewarded with an equalizer 5 minutes before half time.

The second half started with Syngenta taking a 2-1 lead when there centre forward fired in from 20 yards.
Syngenta continued to be the team on top and it was a matter of time before goal 3 arrived. A long ball down the left deceived the Fairmuir goal keeper to leave the Syngenta left winger to slot home from 18 yards. Continual Syngenta pressure ensured the 4th was not long to wait for, following good saves and blocks the ball fell to the Syngenta midfielder on the edge if the box to fire home.
Now 4-1 up Syngenta made several substitutions which allowed Fairmuir to gain better ball possession, resulting in a good solo goal by the tall Fairmuir forward.
