Wolves BC
 vs
Burnhead Colts FC

U14's Lanarkshire FDA
St Ambrose High, Coatbridge
20 February 2014

Colts travelled to St Ambrose high in Coatbridge to gain a fine victory over Wolves on the 3g astro.

The game was very competative and Wolves started the game on the front foot. Colts were second to every ball and Wolves took the lead when their striker beat the Colts keeper to a 50-50 and headed home to make it 1-0.

Colts gradually started getting back into the game and scored a great equaliser when Murdoch played a great through ball to Fitzpatrick who ran on and curled in a great side-footer to equalise and make the half time score 1-1.

Half Time: Wolves BC 1-1 Burnhead Colts

Colts made some changes at the start of the second half with Mcluskie, Jannetta and Torrance coming on and making an impact.

The game was still in the balance and could have went either way. Colts were making chance after chance with the Wolves keeper making good saves.

Colts scored what proved to be the winner when the Wolves keeper parried out a shot and Park fired home the rebound from 6 yards.

Wolves had a good chance to equalise when their centre forward was clean through but he lobbed the ball wide.  Colts missed a few chances to put the game to bed, but they managed to see the game out for a fine win.

Well done to both teams for playing a very competative game of football without a single bad tackle.
