24 February 2014
Cumbernauld Colts reached the semi-finals of the regional cup. The game was played in driving wind and rain which made it very difficult to cope with the elements.
Cumbernauld with a strong wind against in the first half kept the ball on the deck and created most of the chances. They opened the scoring when Cammy McKay finished off a good move after Jordan Pirrie set him up.
2-0 followed quickly when Pirrie was rewarded for his hard work striking a low shot in the corner of the net.
The home side tried hard to create openings but were mostly kept to long range efforts which Colts keeper Ewan Walker dealt with.
Cumbernauld went in 3-0 at half time when Blair Bateman curled in a shot from inside the box after EK failed to clear from a corner.

The second was a bit scrappy with conditions dictating and having an effect on both sides attempts to play football.
Cumbernauld booked their place in the last four of the cup when a Jordan Pirrie shot was parried by the home keeper straight into the path of predator Cammy McKay who tapped in for 4-0.
