Central Girls under 15's continued the clubs tremendous form by securing the Puma Cup in Liverpool last weekend. The girls faced opposition from England, Wales and the USA, completing the tournament unbeaten.
On day one the girls showed their quality with 6-0 victories over United States based Maryland Rush and local side Mossley Hill. Rounded off with a 11-0 victory over Woolton Girls, Central were comfortably into the next round after topping the group.
The next day saw their fine form continue and even in the semi-final the girls defeated Blackpool with another 6-0 scoreline.
The final though was slightly more tricky as Maryland Rush pushed Central all the way to penalties. Thankfully Erin Rodgers was on hand though to help her side secure the trophy with a great save after her team mates kept their nerve.
Central GIrls FA are back in action this weekend at Stirling University in the Loch Lomond Cup and hope to continue their rich vein of form with teams entered at 13 & 15's age groups.
