15 November 2014
Moorlands went through to the last of the Scottish Cup after a strong performance in Kirkcaldy.
With only ten minutes on the clock, Aiden McElhinney headed in a corner to give the visitors the lead and not long afterwards a penalty from Sean Monaghan doubled their advantage.
St Johns rallied to try and find their way back into the tie but they were undone shortly before the interval when a corner from Mark McNulty ended up in the net.
Half-time: St Johns Rovers 0-3 Moorlands Reds
Just after the break, Moorlands skipper McNulty neatly worked a short corner to drive home his second goal of the morning and put the match beyond the home team.
Although St Johns stuck to their task admirably, the Uddingston side always looked threatening in attack and it was no surprise that they added to their tally.
Winger Aaron McNeil bagged a double, including a glorious left-foot strike, and further counters came from Monagahan and Dean Robertson, before Paul Mockus rounded off proceedings with a neat finish.
Full-time : St Johns Rovers 0-9 Moorlands Reds
