Moorlands were made to work hard for their place in the next round by a good Milton side.
The well-organised visitors more than held their own in a tight first half and it took a moment of supreme quality to break the deadlock.
Around the half-hour mark, Moorlands striker Sean Monaghan picked the ball up 20 yards out and sent a screaming drive into the top corner of the net.
Half-time: Moorlands 1-0 Milton
The home team started the second half brightly and shortly after the interval, they doubled their lead.
Paul Mockus set up Dean Robertson who beat the Milton ‘keeper with aplomb.
Ten minutes later, Monaghan shot home another fine goal and the tie looked to be slipping away from the visitors.
With the clock running down, victory was sealed when Calvin Cowie’s pass found Monaghan who gratefully netted from eight yards to complete his hat-trick.
Both teams deserve credit for a well-contested cup tie played in a disciplined and sporting manner.
Full-time : Moorlands 4-0 Milton
