In the second youth cup final to be played at Pittodrie this season, Culter ran out 3-1 winners over Glentanar with Stuart Charleton, and an Aiden Combe brace getting the goals for Culter with Lewis Stephen netting a consolation for Glentanar.
It was an excellent match with an abundance of chances and the first one fell to Glentanar in the 4th minute. Craig Simpson played a good diagonal ball down to Elliott McDonald who then tried to chip David Dey in the Culter goal however it went narrowly over.
Declan Milne then tried a chip of his own for Culter after racing clear of the Glentanar defence. He just had Callum Ritchie to beat however Paul Orr raced back in time to clear the ball off the line.
Ritchie had an excellent game for Glentanar and was called into action again soon after when Callum Buchan played in Declan Milne. The Culter player aimed for the bottom left hand corner however Ritchie produced a full stretch save to deny the former Glentanar forward.
Culter took the lead in the 18th minute after Declan Milne's corner was met by Stuart Charleton, who guided his header and placed it into the roof of the net, past Ritchie in the Glentanar goal.
The league runners up kept dominating Glentanar and had another chance just three minutes later after Stuart Mcnicholas passed into Callum Buchan. Buchan in turn hit a first time shot from 25 yards which went over, he perhaps could have taken another touch.
Glentanar equalised just a minute before half time. Elliott McDonald played a good ball down the left flank which was met by Lewis Stephen. Stephen then he did the rest by calmly slotting the ball into the bottom right hand corner, which gave David Dey no chance.
Half Time: Culter Boys 1-1 Glentanar BC
Culter were to re-take the lead just eight minutes into the second half. Callum Buchan played in Aiden Combe who then slotted the ball low and hard past Callum Ritchie in the Glentanar goal, to give him no chance of stopping it.
Ten minutes later it was 3-1. Callum Buchan passed the ball into Aiden Combe, who then dribbled past two Glentanar defenders before producing a cool finish to beat Ritchie. It looked like, by that point, Culter would take home the trophy. Glentanar had it all to do.
Declan Milne played well and he was unfortunate not to have a goal to his name and could have got himself a goal. He met a good ball from substiute Declan McGunnigle however his effort flew over the bar.
Milne continued to probe and raced clean through of the Glentanar defence, with Aiden Combe for company. Milne crashed his effort wide, when perhaps the better option may have been to square the ball.
Overall it was a good cup final, and advert for the Aberdeen & District Juvenile FA. Culter deserved their victory but Glentanar more than played their part in a good spectacle, and based on their progress this season, will be sure to bounce back.

A last minute winner from Albert Ibekwe was enough to give Culter all 3 points and crown them champions against a Vale side which if they won 2 ouf of their last 3 matches would see them go up along with Colts. Vale were first to attack the Culter backline with Roain McQuade producing a 20 yard drive towards goal whose effort was blocked on the line by Iain Wilson. The hosts were the more dominant of the two and it then saw Rhys Thomson try and thread a pass through the eye of the Culter keyhole but his effort just went narrowly wide. Culter started the game playing a 4-5-1 formation and Vale were getting to grips with them quite easily and the banffers had another chance before the interval after McQuade tried to beat Cieran Hunter however Hunter produced a good save. Half Time: Deveronvale FC 0-0 Culter Colts Vale's pressure then paid off 4 minutes into the second half after John Geddes played a through ball into Ronan McQuade who made no mistake this time and placed it low and hard past the keeper with a composed finish. Culter then tried to get an equaliser straight after with Scott Coutts playing in Mark Reid however a crunching challenge by Leighton Duncan was enough to put the sole striker off. The visitors did then get an equaliser after Aidan Wilkinson played in Albert Ibekwe who made no mistake and beat the Vale keeper with a low finish.
The match was then turned on its head as Culter scored again. Aidan Wilkinson played in Albert Ibekwe who then sent a dangerous ball into the box which was met by Samuel McColl who headed it low and hard into the bottom left hand corner. Vale then equalised after a ball sent in from Vale looked a safe catch for the keeper but unfortunately for Hunter he spilled it and it came to Michael Third who squeezed the ball into an empty net. A draw then looked to be on the cards until Culter found a winner after a good ball came in by Alex Cheyne and Albert Ibekwe left the Vale defence exposed with a headed effort which found the net to start off celebrations for Culter who were crowned champions. An overcast start to the match in Huntly quickly turned to frequent heavy showers and in amongst the rain, both teams pressed for the first goal. Culter, playing catch up in the league with games in hand, were desperate for the victory which showed in their early play being rushed with poor decision making in the last third of the pitch.
Eventually, Culter broke through the Huntly lines with both Adam Reid & Liam McKintosh having shots at goal but both off target. Not to outdone, Huntly pressurised the Culter defence on several occasions in the first half and Culter have Thomas Stewart to thank for keeping the Huntly strikers out. Culter had a couple of penalty shouts as well but waved away by the referee on the day.
As the half wore on, Shaun Corthels missed a chance in the 6 yard box after good work from Adam Reid and Liam McKintosh, looking more dangerous, struck the bar from outside the 18 yard box.
Half Time: Huntly FC 0-0 Culter Deeside
Moving into the second half it was still 0-0. Culter finally break the deadlock with probably their scrappiest goal of the season as Adam Reid eventually bundles the ball over the line. The goal seem to relax Culter as they quickly followed this up with another, Adam Reid this time with a good strike past the Huntly goalkeeper.
At 2-0 Culter started to switch off and Huntly grab their opener with their striker first to react to a long range parry from Thomas Stewart. At 2-1, it seemed it was game on again.
However, Adam Reid was on a mission for his hat-trick and finised in style with a fine strike after a nice turn in the box. 3-1 Culter…..
Euan Ross then goes close with a mazy dribble and shot but then gets the goal of the day with a fine volley into the top corner to make the final score 4-1 Culter.
