Written by

Ever fancied playing in the USA? Every year up and coming Scottish youth players are making the trip across the pond to combine their studies with playing high level football for an American college.

The next assessment days are:

Boys Assessment Day | Edinburgh | Friday 23rd October | Spartans Academy
Boys Assessment Day | Cumbernauld | Sunday 25th October | Broadwood Stadium
(you must be at least 15 years old to apply, with priority given to 5th & 6th year students)

If you are interested in taking the same journey as the players above, read on.

Each Assessment Day consists of:
- Skills assessment training session.
- Lunch (Provided by Future Pro USA).
- Presentation on Future Pro USA and opportunities available. The chance is given to ask questions to the Future Pro USA experts.
- 11-aside football match, filmed in full with footage made available for showreel videos.

Note
Some of the events within the assessment days may be modified due to Covid-19 regulations. We are hopeful that all 2020 events will go ahead as planned, however we will be regularly monitoring government regulations and advice to ensure player safety.

Vance Sinclair, parent of James Sinclair, who made the move from KSC Town of Kilwinning to Concord University, West Virginia, talked about his experience with Future Pro USA: "I was extremely happy with the professionalism and dedication of the staff at Future Pro USA. Their help in finding my son a place on a US soccer scholarship was invaluable. I was particularly pleased with the level and amount of contacts the company has throughout the US, which gave us a number of offers - allowing us to choose the best fit."
