AM Soccer were crowned the Domestic Supplies 17s Cup champions when they came from behind to beat Burntisland Shipyard in Kinross. Burntisland led through Jack Garvie's header, but a double from Ross Mutch and a goal from Jason Burns sealed victory for AM.
AM Soccer begun the final stronger and within a minute were unfortunate not to be ahead. Good work in the middle of the park by Matthew Gow found Burns whose cross was put over the bar by Mark McKenzie.
Burntisland responded quickly when Lewis Payne's long range effort was tipped over by Blair Penman in the AM goal.
The first half was mainly a battle of the midfield with chances few and far between. AM had the better of them with Burns’s shot flashing wide after being played in by Gow and an in swinging corner that evaded everyone crowded in the Burntisland box.
Burntisland Shipyard started better in the second and took the lead when Garvie headed in from a corner after 48 minutes.
AM Soccer responded well and went close to grabbing an equaliser on occassion, and on the hour mark they found one. Mutch played a one-two with Louis Appere before curling the ball into the far corner to level.
Ten minutes later the turnaround was complete when Burns headed home an inch perfect delivery to give AM Soccer the lead.
Burntisland searched for a way back into the match and they went close when Robbie Hogg's shot was closed down by the AM defence before Cammy Clarke put the ball over from six yards.
AM Soccer punished them and killed the game when Mutch broke through the Burntisland defence and slotted the ball under the keeper eight minutes from time to seal victory and give AM Soccer their first silverware of the 2015/16 season.
