DDYFA Results Round-Up 22/10/17

With the October break out of the way, most of the DDYFA teams returned to action. With top of the table clashes and shock upsets throughout the leagues, it was clear that all the players were keen to make up for lost time.

Here’s how the action went down:

U13s
Blair Fyffe’s hat trick helped Fairmuir maintain their unbeaten run to the season as they beat Pitfour 6-3. Jude Duguid and Stuart Heenan also found the net for the visitors.

It was honours even as Carnoustie hosted Riverside. Rhys Hoon, Jack Chalmers and Scott Hamilton got the goals for Carnoustie, as the sides played out a 3-3 draw.

Montrose beat Broughty 4-1 in the final Café Royale League fixture of the day.

In the J Clenaghan League, DUSC beat Brechin 6-0, Forfar beat Broughty Panthers 5-3, Newtyle came out on top of a nine-goal thriller as they beat Arbroath 5-4, while Dundee West won 8-5 at home to St Andrews Colts.

Monifieth won 9-4 against Kirrie in the P Gibson League. There were also wins for Celtic Boys and Dundee Sporting Club on their return to league action.
 

U14s
There was a top of the table clash in the D S Rennie League as Broughty United hosted Celtic Boys.
 
The top two didn’t disappoint, as a last-minute goal from Leon Winterton secured Broughty a 6-5 win. That was Winterton’s second of the game, with Josh McGlashan, Lewis Grant, Daragh McCafferty and Mackenzie Maguire were also finding the net.

Logan Richardson got the only goal of the game as Kirrie beat Ferry 1-0. Forfar travelled to Brechin, and came away with a 3-0 win.

ACSC recorded their biggest win of the season, as they beat DUSC 9-1. Kyle Yule grabbed a hat trick, with Bobby Fleming, Mason McDonald and Kaden Houghton bagging braces. Billy Rennie completed the scoring as ACSC catapulted themselves up the table.

Doubles from Cammy Blacklock and Aiden Law saw Dundee West win 5-3 away to Montrose. Derron Forbes was also on target.

In the Watson McInally League, Riverside scored seven unanswered goals away to St Murdochs, while Maryfield beat Dryburgh 2-1. Carnoustie and Monifieth played out a 1-1 draw, while St Andrews Colts won 9-1 against Vale of Tay.
 

U15s
Goals from Aidan Lorente and Bartosz Kwiatek saw Monifieth continue their unbeaten start to the season with a 2-0 win over Riverside.
 
Pitfour maintained their 100% start to the season with a 3-1 win over Carnoustie. Jordan Turnbull, Kai Finnie and Ben Clos were on target for the champions, while Lewis Sivewright got Carnoustie’s goal.

Fairmuir won 2-0 at Montrose, while Dundee Thistle beat Broughty 3-1. Ferry won 7-1 against Celtic Boys, and DUSC played out a 2-2 draw with Forfar.
 

U16s
Ethan Samson scored the only goal of the game as Fairmuir beat Forfar Albion 1-0 at Graham Street. Dryburgh secured a 4-3 win over Jeanfield Blacks to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

There were 5-1 wins for Broughty United and Logie Harp over Scone Thistle and Blairgowrie respectively, while Ferry beat St Murdochs by four goals to one.

In the W Mills League, Nathan Leslie’s free kick earned Brechin City a point in their game with Monifieth. Dundee Thistle and St Murdochs Colts played out a 0-0 draw.

Forfar West End beat Dundee Rangers 7-2, while Dryburgh CC won 3-2 away to Kirrie.
 

U17s
Ferry were 2-1 winners over Fairmuir in the Dave Pullar League, and Kirrie and Forfar played out a 5-5 draw.

In the Bodycare Complementary Clinics League, a double from Craig Begg and a goal from Anton McAleese couldn’t stop Partan Craig losing 4-3 to Forfar West End.

DUSC won 3-2 over Montrose and Monifieth beat Carnoustie 6-3.
 

U19s
Dundee West won 6-5 away to Letham, while Ferry beat Coupar Angus 2-1. There were 5-1 wins for Forfar West End and Kirrie, and Monifieth beat Luncarty 3-1.
