There were a handful of league matches throughout the DDYFA leagues on Thursday evening.
Here’s how the action went down:
Monifieth Athletic avoided a scare from Celtic Boys to make it three wins in five days. Dillon Young opened the scoring after six minutes, but Monifieth were level when Arran Dewar found the net after 14 minutes.
Aidan Lorente gave Monifieth the half time lead but Young drew Celtic level in the second half. Ruari McQuillan scored 16 minutes from time to earn Monifieth the three points.
Lewis Sivewright scored a hat trick as Carnoustie Panmure beat Broughty Panthers 4-3. Sivewright opened the scoring after 26 minutes, with Harry Law doubling the lead moments later.
Liam Jones halved the deficit with a penalty on the stroke of half time, but Sivewright smacked home his second 10 minutes after the restart.
Daniel Boyle’s goal set up a nervy finish but Sivewright completed his hat trick to put Carnoustie back in control. Adam Barclay netted for Broughty in the final minute, but it was too little too late.
Ally Alcorn scored all seven of Pitfour’s goals as they got back to winning ways against Dundee Thistle. The striker scored a hat trick in the first half, before Thistle pulled one back three minutes after the restart.
Alcorn netted his fourth before Thistle got their second. Three more goals secured a 7-2 win for Pitfour ahead of their cup final with Monifieth on Sunday.
