Written by

Despite several teams put out of action by the weather, there was still plenty of football on display throughout the DDYFA.

Here’s how the action went down:

U13s

Monifieth Athletic picked up a convincing win over Dundee West Reds in the Café Royale League.

Lewis Raeside netted twice for Monifieth, with Zack Hunter, Seb McLeish, Niall McDonald and Harris Shepherd all finding the net in a 6-0 win.

Blairgowrie U13s booked their place in the semi-finals of the Diamond Jubilee Cup with a 4-2 win over Dundee West Royals.

Harry Watson netted twice for Blairgowrie with Robbie Watson and Archie Browning also on target.

Arbroath Lads U13s went down 6-4 against Dryburgh in the J Clenaghan League despite a double from Kyle Fraser.

Leo Williams and Ryan Paterson also netted for Arbroath but couldn’t stop them slipping to a first league defeat of the season.

Fairmuir beat Brechin City 6-1 with four goals coming from Kyle Peacock. Cameron McMurchie and Reece Hutton also found the net.

Ferry Athletic extended their lead at the top of the P Gibson League with an 8-0 win over Mearns.

U14s

Stuart Heenan scored four times as Fairmuir booked a place in the semi-finals of the Dundee West Anniversary Cup with a 7-3 win over Pitfour.

Finlay Garty, Ryan Mulholland and Leo Norrie were on target as Fairmuir knocked out the DS Rennie League leaders. Montrose Youths also advanced courtesy of a 4-0 win over Forfar Boys.

Dundee United SC got their first win in the DS Rennie League with a 9-0 victory over Celtic Boys.

Monifieth Athletic moved up to fifth in the Watson McInally League table with a 7-2 win over St Andrews Colts.

Warren Lorente scored a hat trick for the second week in a row, with Jason Scott, Aidan Cobb and Rory Robertson all on target for Monifieth.

U15s

Forfar Boys booked their place in the semi-finals of the Jean Pierre Babin Cup with a 2-0 win over Pitfour.

ACSC beat Monifieth 8-3 in the W Mills League, while Montrose beat St Murdochs 3-0.

U16s

Pitfour sealed a place in the semi-finals of the Queen’s Jubilee Cup with a 5-0 win over Montrose Youths.

Kieran Forber scored twice in the first half, the first a strike from the edge of the box and the second a near post finish from a Matthew Glen corner.

Ally Alcorn scored either side of a Kai Finnie goal in the second half to seal the win for Pitfour.

In the Bodycare Complimentary Clinics League, Letham Whites beat Dundee Thistle 3-2 and Letham Tangerines won 4-1 against Broughty United.

U17s

Jeanfield Swifts Blacks had to come from behind to see off Kirrie Thistle in the Dave Pullar League.

Rannoch Ramsay found the net for Jeanfield midway through the first half to reduce Kirrie’s lead at half time.

Ramsay turned provider in the second half for J Westwood as Jeanfield drew level, only for Kirrie to regain the lead on 70 minutes.

There was still enough time remaining for Liam Cooney to strike twice for Jeanfield and earn them the three points.

Elsewhere, ACSC beat Monifieth 7-1.

U19s

Ferry Athletic Blues earned a place in the semi-final of the G Kerr Cup with a 4-1 win over Brechin City Youths.
