TOPIC: North Regional 16's

Finally the kids from this region have a team But correct me if I'm wrong here! Should the team be picked from players all over the North? I see from the player’s nominated list, that 9 are from Broomhill and 10 are from Colony Park "16's". This makes up the bulk of the list, with a few from Cove BC Colts, one or two from Kemnay and Cruden Bay! Surly that’s not all the possible players from the whole of the North I can think of a few more that would certainly make the grade and you wouldn't have to go far from your door step! And then their is Maud, Huntly and Deveronvale to consider! I don’t know who the coaches are yet, but Regional should mean Regional!!!

I believe it was up to the individual clubs to advise which of their players they were putting forward for the initial trials.

Have to assume that clubs that have no nominated players do not wish their players to be involved.

I'm not sure if there is a closing date for nominations so maybe/hopefully there is still time.

Yeah it was the coaches are from Colony Colts and Broomhill Juniors yeah there is a closing time think it was 2 weeks ago, there's 2 from Huntly, not sure about Vale and surely there wouldive been a few from Albion

It is down to the clubs Kaiser to put forward, but surly it cant be fair or even, with 2 clubs having most of their players at the trails, no? No Deveronvale, Albion, Lewis United, Culter or Maud, ab452ps! Interesting to see where the coaches come from ab452ps

How difficult is it for the Moray lads to get into the squad as the Boys Club set-up in the county is virtually non-existent? Who is going to nominate them?

Whilst this is a step in the right direction, hopefully the coaches will be with this squad for the next couple of years and it is now up to them to get out and about to see all of the available talent, including those that might not be good enough this year but may be available next year. At least they can then invite them to a trial next year for a closer look.

As I said it was up to the clubs, If Deveronvale etc had put players forward they would be definitely be included at this point. I believe this is only the trials stage, I could be wrong...

If it is true that the coaching will be done by Colony Colts and Broomhill then it still not their fault that other clubs have not put players forward.

Surely its only the clubs that are to blame if their boys are not included. I would agree that the Squad would be stronger with players from any of those mentioned including outwith the ADJFA net, its a shame that these boys have not been put forward as it wont be a reflection of the talent in the North when they play against the other regions.

Scotsman- Where did you see the list of nominated players? Did Culter put any player forward for the trials?
