Day one of the Gartcairn Winter Festival took place on Saturday 25th February at Ravenscraig Region Sports Facility.

Teams from six different age groups, ranging across the Fun Fours and Soccer Sevens spectrum, gathered in one of Central Scotland's finest playing facilities for a packed day of enjoyable football - played in good spirit with ability to match.  
 
World Champion boxer Ricky Burns was on hand to deliver the prizes, including Fair Play awards and individual recognition to some of the best performing young players.
 
Prize winners were as follows:
 
Individual Fair Play Award 2000s - Jack Adams, Burnhead Colts
Individual Fair Play Award 2001s - Mark McGhie, Rochsolles
Team Fair Play 2000s - Linwood Rangers RYC
Team Fair Play 2001s - Lanarkshire
 
The tournament returns tomorrow for the 11-a-side age groups. Today's participants were as follows:
