  Fairhill Parks was filled with enthusiastic kids and parents as the first annual Mill United Football Festival took centre stage. With around 650 youngsters aged between the 2000-2005 age group, there was some fantastic football on display and a multitude of 7 a side and 4 a side pitches laid out across the park.
The money raised for the event was aid of a local 11 year old boy named Liam Ashwood who is seriously ill with Thyroid Cancer Through money raised on the day by visitors along with donations from Danny’s snack bar and the local Co-op, Mill United were able to hand a cheque for £3000, which will go towards the Ashwood Family Fund.
