Glasgow Girls progressed to the next round of the Scottish Cup after a 2-0 victory against Westdyke Girls at Lawsondale Playing Fields in Westhill. A double from Rebecca Mcallister ensured a place in the next round for the away side.
Glasgow took the lead as McAllister’s low and powerful shot from the right handside of the box found the back of the net to give the away side the lead.
Glasgow looked for a second goal and McAllister’s shot from just outside the box went over the crossbar after good play from a corner.
Westdyke looked for the equaliser and Eilidh McHattie made a good run into the box and her low shot was well saved by Jodie Burrows in the Glasgow goal.
Glasgow’s Kacey Black then had a low shot from outside the box well saved by Emily Mutch in the Westdyke goal.
Westdyke nearly equalised as McHattie’s high shot from inside the box was marvellously saved by Burrows in goal.
