Watson happy with promotion

Paul Lawrie Foundation Under 14's sealed promotion to the B league and were confirmed as the top team in the C league after a 2-0 win over Colony Colts at Ian Mair Park, Dyce last Tuesday.

Paul Lawrie Foundation coach Craig Watson gave his thoughts after the game saying “I thought tonight went well, the boys all knew how well organized and tough Colony would be and that chances in front of goal would be limited.

“I was delighted that we persevered with playing football and took full advantage of the opportunities when they came round. It was a great advert for C league football and hopefully we’ll both compete well next season in the B league.

“Overall, chuffed that the last two years of hard work has paid off and the commitment from the boys has been exceptional. We will continue to commit to playing football each week and I hope that we’ll see some success for it.”

Youth Football Scotland congratulates Paul Lawrie Foundation on their achievements and wish them all the best for next season after gaining promotion.
