Under 16s-19s ADJFA review

Written by

One month into the ADJFA campaign and there have already been lots of goals & a lot of wins as well. 342 matches have taken place to date with 316 of those games resulting in a victory with 2,460 goals scored.

The Under 16s A league promises to be competitive & only 5 points separate the top 5. Fraserburgh Link-Up is currently in pole position with Middlefield Wasps & Lewis United behind them. Culter United & Banks O’Dee Albion occupies 4th & 5th position.

Newmachar United won the C league last season and they are already making a statement in the B league with a 100% record. The bottom 4 is all level with 3 points. They are Byron Thistle, Glentanar, Kintore United & Portlethen.

The two Culter Teams top the C league with Culter Thistle edging Culter Cobras on goal difference. Deveronvale, Huntly & Turriff are currently in mid table with Stonehaven United & Greyhope located at the bottom.

Under 17s A league has seen Fraserburgh Link-Up YFC enjoy a great start to the season and currently sit top with 3 wins and a draw with Banks O’Dee Albion & Westdyke behind the Broch who both have a game in hand. Lewis United Youth have had a change in player personnel during the close season & last years Scottish Cup finalists have dropped points already drawing against Peterhead & Fraserburgh Link-Up. Culter Boys & Peterhead are currently bottom of the A league.

Middlefield currently top the B league with Huntly in 2nd followed by a 3 point difference between 3rd & 9th positions so it is definitely a close call to determine positions in this league.

There is still a few outcomes to be decided to determine which league some teams will go into however Inverurie Locos are currently top of the Under 19s A league and picked up a fine 5-0 win away to Banks O’Dee Albion at the weekend. There has only been 2 games in the B league this season which has seen Colony Park, Huntly & Stonehaven all pick up a win and all on the same points. It’s still early days yet!
