In what can only be described as a wintry weekend in Aberdeenshire, it took its toll on the ADJFA card with most games being postponed. There were games that managed to beat the chill though & some of these games saw some high-scoring results.

In the Under 13s Colony Park Cup saw Cove BC, Banks O’Dee Albion & Dyce BC all record convincing wins. The 13s A League saw Elite beat Deveronvale in an impressive 9-0 victory for the hosts & Middlefield squeezed past Formartine in a 4-2 victory.

The B League only saw one game go ahead which saw Peterhead beat Westdyke Thistle 6-1, whilst C League Section 1 was a comprehensive 16-0 victory for Northstar Orange over Huntly whilst in C League Section 2 saw Turriff United edge past Colony Colts 3-2.

The Under 14s Winton Trophy saw big wins for Deveronvale & Byron Dons over Portlethen and Mintlaw respectively. Only one match beat the weather in the Under 14s A league with Banks O’Dee Albion beating Lewis United 3-0 and the only B league match was another high scoring win, this time for Peterhead who beat Glentanar.

Just two matches survived in the Under 15s age group with two home wins for Banks O’Dee Albion, a 4-0 win over Deveronvale in the A league, and Stonehaven YFC City, an 8-0 win over FDS in the B league.

There was three home wins in the Under 16s age group.  Lewis United Youth beat Deveronvale 5-0 in the A league and there were C league wins for Deveronvale Colts & Turriff Unitedas they beat Stonehaven United and Huntly respectively.

Peterhead vs Colony Park was the only Under 17s league game that got the go ahead and it was the visitors who went back to Inverurie with the points with a 7-4 victory. Banks O’Dee progressed into the next round of the Raymond Kelly Association Trophy with a 5-2 win at home to Fraserburgh Link-Up.

In the Under 19s, Banks O’Dee Albion continued their defence of the Sunnybank Shield with a 2-1 win over ALC Athletic. Cove BC edged past Culter Colts 4-3 in the Under 19s A league whilst the local derby in the B League between Turriff United & Huntly ended in an incredible 5-5 draw.
