#WhatsYourStory

This issue of #WhatsYourStory focuses on the Aberdeenshire side who will be flying out to the Netherlands to compete in the Eastern Open tournament with Trans World Soccer.

In order to get an insight into how the Dyce boys were shaping up before the tournament, Youth Football Scotland got in contact with head coach Garry Mournian.

With this being the first time for the team travelling outside of Scotland and with football being the main focus of the trip, naturally the boys were thrilled. Coach Garry told us that the team were “looking forward to playing against teams from other countries”.

Aside from the football, it came as no surprise that the team were ecstatic when seeing where they would be staying. The Dyce outfit ‘can’t wait to see what they can get up to’.

The Aberdeen club has been able to claim trophies at every age group in their league in Scotland. With this in mind hopefully the 2009 lads will be able to return from the Netherlands with their hands on the prize.

1. What tournament will you be going to?

We will be travelling to the Netherlands to take part in the Easter Open. We are in the section based near Eindhoven.

2. What are you / the team most looking forward to for the trip?

It will be the boys first ever tournament outside of Scotland, so they are very much looking forward to playing against teams from other countries. As well as the football, the boys are also looking to flying over to the Netherlands and the bus journey to Eindhoven. After seeing the videos of the resort they will be staying at, they can’t wait to see what they can get up too there as well!

3. What is something that people might not know about Dyce?

Dyce Boys Club are proud of the players we have produced over the years. Current Aberdeen FC captain, Graeme Shinnie and Celtic FC and Scotland International, Stuart Armstrong are former players.
