A quick flurry of goals from Colony Park in the opening 20 minutes on top of another goal near the end was enough for the Inverurie side to come out on top and maintain their place at the top of the Under 15s B League.

Both teams have improved in their own certain ways this season, Colony finished in third last season and are looking very good for promotion this season, Northstar are going through a sticky patch recently but have enjoyed a fantastic season with some very good results to match.

On four minutes, it was 1-0 Colony, a terrific ball came into the danger zone and Kyle Duncan was there to guide home the opener smashing the ball past Hamish Cameron.

The Inverurie side were playing some fantastic football which was a joy to watch and six minutes later, it was 2-0 after a great through ball by Owen Morris found Shane Geddes who kept his composure to slot the ball into the far corner with a fantastic finish.

A football game at Under 15s level takes place for 80 minutes however the damage in this contest was done on 14 minutes after Colony trebled their advantage, a good effort by Luca Ivory Hunter gave Cameron no chance.

The quick start by Colony was a wake up call to the hosts however they have to deal with a few more attacks by Park with Kieran Morrison having a shot bounce off the crossbar.

Northstar were getting into the game as the contest progressed and Andrew Buck, the captain was very influential was a couple of chances to pull a goal back. Buck had a 25 yard free kick just over the bar before he managed to get into a good position before letting fly however Joe Dawson was equal to the effort.

A few words of instruction by the Northstar coaches at half time was the catalyst behind a really good second half performance, Usman Shehu had a good opportunity whose solo effort was turned away by a good save from Joe Dawson.

Timi Odedairo also started to be more lively for the hosts and he had a few good chances which were also denied by Dawson, Northstar were trying to grab something from the game however Dawson certainly worked hard to claim his clean sheet.

In what was a subdued second half, it was 4-0 and game over with four minutes from time after a good delivery was sent in by Kieran Morrison which was met by left back Steven Strachan who guided home a fine header past a stranded Hamish Cameron.

A deserved win for Colony Park however Northstar can take positives from a fantastic second half display, it's understandable why both teams are battling for top half and promotion respectively.
