In this game we saw a clash of two undefeated teams in the Under 13s North Kim Little League at Davidson Park in Port Elphinstone between Moray Pinks and Colony Park. It was Moray Pinks who came out on top winning 4-2.
The action started in the second minute a cross from Colony’s Woman of the Match, Aoife Gauld, was well clasped by Moray keeper Willow Searle to stop an inevitable goal.
Then only five minutes later a shot from Moray’s Woman of the match Iona McArthur was converted to make it 1-0 as a goal kick from Corys Hollands found its way past the back line and was well finished.
Only two minutes later in the ninth minute Colony looked as if they were going to equalise as a throw in from Halle Gordon was met by Gauld but her shot smashed against the post.
In the 18th minute a shot from Moray’s Romilly Cruickshank was well parried away by Colony keeper Kelsie Allan for a corner. The resulting corner lead to Morays moment of the match as a cross from Zoe Rankin was met and well struck by McArthur to give her and her team a second goal and make it 2-0.
Then, in the 24th minute a ball through by Morays Amy Bruce was met by McArthur who took the ball into the box and slotted the ball through the keepers legs to give her a hat-trick and give her team a 3-0 lead.
The final effort of the half came from Colony as Gauld had a free kick which she put into the box and goalward but the ball was easily saved by Moray goalie Searle.
Going into the break it was 3-0 to Moray and the game seemed out of reach for Colony to make a comeback and it seemed that they were about to suffer their first loss of the season.
