Exciting Scottish clash sees Falkirk edge Kennoway

A mid-day kick off saw Falkirk host Kennoway in the Scottish Cup.

From the start Falkirk pressed well and tested the keeper with a low cross patches of the game looked good for Falkirk when on the 25 minutes Falkirk won a corner they used the short corner technique which Kieran Mcallum hit the cross bar with his shot .

With time passing Falkirk won a free kick 35 yards out. Falkirk’s Callum stood over it but ballooned it over the bar into the stand . Kennoway had a chance when the ball fell nicely for Reece who chipped the keeper but a great clearance from Scott black

Near then end of the half Falkirk had two good chances when Ross Allan swung a cross over to Jake Mc who volleyed it over the bar. Two minutes later Jake played a through ball to Callum, who placed it passed the post in the last minute of the half, Kyle McLung made a forward run and chipped it over the keeper but by the post.

At the start of the second half both midfields were strong when on the 45 minutes Kennoway won a corner, it was a good delivery that could not be cleared when Kennoway, no 10 done an overhead kick in to the roof of the net. Kennoway 1-0 Falkirk (45).

Falkirk were looking weak when on the 60 minutes another cross came in and another goal for Kennoway with a screamer of a volley 2-0 Kennoway (60).

The game settled down looking like a comfortable win for the fifers when all of a sudden Falkirk’s Jake ran through the heart of midfield and hit a unstoppable shot in to the top corner giving Falkirk a life line.

In the dying moments Falkirk mover Robbie Young up front . A teasing ball from Falkirks Kieran Mcallum met Robbie who was clear through on goal to tap it by the keeper for the equaliser in the last two minutes.

As extra time started both teams looked tired with some pressure from Kennoway most likely to score with a few good shots .

In the last six minutes Falkirk found themselves on the counter attack when another good ball found Robbie who put it past the goalie again for what had to be the winning goal. His team mates went mental taking him to the ground Falkirk 3-2 Kennoway (94).

Falkirk went into defense mode with almost everyone back defending Kennoway could not create another chance.
