Fraserburgh travelled to Portlethen for this mid table clash hoping to end their 8 game winless streak against a PLF team also looking for a much needed 3pts.
PLF started the game strongly with a lot of possession in midfield, both teams involved in a fast, high tempo match.
PLF captain Ethan Chapman had his defence well organised clearing their lines from some early Broch attacks.
Fraserburgh's rearguard also having to be alert against some strong forward play from PLF's Phillips and Reid.
However it was the Broch who scored first with Callum Wilton scoring at the 2nd attempt after PLF keeper Edgar parrying his 1st goal bound effort.0-1.
The lead didn't last long though,PLF storming back with a set-piece goal from an excellently delivered corner from the right, smashed into Bruce's goal with the Fraserburgh defence static.1-1.
Both teams continued their midfield battle with Taggart of PLF and Anderson of Link-up contesting every ball.
PLF were getting a lot of joy down their left flank forcing hutcheson to give away a free kick in a dangerous position which was flighted into the Broch box which Third managed to clear away from trouble.with nothing between these 2 teams the 1st half ended 1-1.
Half Time: PLF Eagles 1-1 Fraserburgh Link -Up.
The 2nd half got underway with both teams determined to score.
Fraserburgh substitute Masson finding space on the right flank with some good pressing runs, testing the PLF fullback. It was Fraserburgh who again took the lead with Darren Anderson powerful drive from the edge of the box which Edgar spilled into his net unable to hold the fiercely struck shot.1-2.
But PLF weren't giving up and again levelled the match 5 mins later a solid shot from outside the 18 yard box striking  Broch captain Logan Reid causing a wicked deflection into the Fraserburgh goal leaving the keeper with no chance.2-2.
Fraserburgh went in search of their 3rd goal and soon won a free kick in a dangerous area just outside the box which Third rifled in off the underside of the PLF crossbar which was subsequently cleared with urgency.
Fraserburgh kept pressing with Masson being upended in the PLF box after a chase for another great through ball  from midfield, with the broch team looking for a penalty referee Hall wasn't going to budge,play-on.
A few minutes later and it felt like déjà-vu for Masson the little winger from Cairnbulg as he was again taken down in the box,but this challenge looked softer than the previous but to the players surprise the referee immediately pointed to the spot.
A penalty to Fraserburgh.Darren Anderson stepped up to rifle the ball past Edgar. 2-3.
It was backs to the wall for the final 10mins for Link-up as PLF surged forward in vain trying to pick out an equaliser but the broch defence stood firm.Luck was finally on Fraserburgh's side holding out for a vital win in a game evenly contested in which either side could have won.
Full Time: PLF Eagles 2-3 Fraserburgh Link -Up.
