Albion BC Under 14s preserved their title on Tuesday night in some style against Dyce winning 4-0 at Pitmedden Road. A couple of baces from Kyle Smith and Fraser Bryce was enough for Albion to come out on top with many expecting a close game due to the fact that both Dyce versus Albion matches this season only had a goal in it with the reds coming out 3-2 winners on both occasions.
This season has seen Bruce McGregor join the coaching staff, Bruce has enjoyed a fair amount of success over the years with Albion and this league title will add to his healthy CV of trophies that he's won in his career with Albion, until the end of last season, whatever team Bruce managed he was assisted by John Hill who now takes the Under 13s.
Fellow coach Patrick Ritchie has been there all the way through and shared his delight at Albion retaining the league title by saying "Our 2nd half performance was outstanding, you couldn't have won the league with a better performance, full credit to the boys for what has been a very good season and everybody has contributed, there has been 150 goals taken out of the team with Ethan Grant, Stuart Bridgeford and Lewis Hutchison all departing for Aberdeen.
"There has been a lot of highs, the only low this season was the Scottish Cup game against Lenzie as we could and should have gone further in the Scottish Cup this season, it was a disappointing performance, it was a bit like last season when we got knocked out in the 3rd round to Rossvale, our lads have been very consistent this season."
Albion's squad this season is as follows: Jacob Otto, Jason Ritchie, Jevan Anderson, Gregor Thom, Euan Dalmon, Kyle Smith, Ross Christie, Connor Wood, Cameron Imrie, Alasdair Shrive, Logan Johnstone, Calum Beattie, Fraser Bryce & Euan Rose.
