After the fixture was delayed a week as a result of weather conditions, Hutchison Vale F.C. played their cup tie against Broxburn Atheltic Colts which saw Hutchie win by six goals to nil.
The scoring opened up in the 5th minute. Hutchie striker Grant Rose decided to go on a solo run on the left hand side of goal, side stepping defenders, then finished his chance on the edge of the penalty box with the ball ending up in the bottom right hand corner of goal.
Four minutes later, Hutchie double their lead. Rose, involved again in the build up to the goal, played a short cross from the left hand side of the pitch to Kieran Jack in the centre of the penalty box. Jack beat his marker to the ball and he headed it into the bottom left hand corner of goal.
Hutchie increased their lead in the 15th minute. Ryan Moffat received the ball on the right hand side of the pitch, he then dribbled past the Broxburn defenders and with his shot on the left hand side of the penalty box, he placed the ball expertly into the side netting.
The first half scoring was rounded off as Rose doubled his tally. The outstanding Ryan Borthwick struck a vicious effort that smacked the face of the crossbar, but big striker Rose was on hand on the left side of the penalty area to slot the ball home.
