KSC United 2004’s defeated Largs Colts to go just one point behind their opponents, and four behind table toppers Coylton in the Central Ayrshire U14’s league.

This was both sides first game of 2018, while their defences seemed to be taking a while to get up to pace, the attackers certainly weren’t.

Fraser MacKinnon opened the scoring for KSC early on in the game. Giving the visitors a deserved lead.

KSC have promised entertainment this season, their games have contained plenty of goals and they have not drawn a single game.

A first half Largs equaliser saw a draw looking the most likely result at half time. The one all score line however, was never likely to be maintained.

Largs continued where they left off as they netted again early in the second half. Largs themselves have only drawn once this season and did not look like they wanted to share the spoils.

It wasn’t long before KSC fought back to level terms. Ben Strain struck to bring the sides level once again.

Fraser Allison was the next to add his name to the scoresheet. His goal saw KSC take the lead for the second time in the game. This time they would not surrender that lead.

Fraser MacKinnon’s goal began the goal scoring and it was his second that finished it. Completing his brace shortly before the end of the match, MacKinnon ended hopes of a Largs comeback.

A game that won’t be quickly forgotten, both teams once again served up some superb Saturday morning entertainment.

KSC will host second place Crosshouse BC next weekend. Meanwhile Largs have another home game, this time against 7th placed Irvine Victoria.

Both sides will still believe they are in with a chance of catching Coylton in the fight for the league title. So every game is a must win for both teams.
