On a cold wet miserable day Bonnyton Thistle turned up for their league encounter against Bellfield.
Both managers should be extremely proud of there players in conditions that can only be described as horrendous.
In a game that lacked cutting edge due to the weather both goalkeepers had very little to do and were mere spectators for most of the first half.
Mid way through the first half Bellfield after some great passing and movement forced the first corner of the game, a great cross was cleared to the edge of the box were Ben Mitchell of Bellfield hit a sweet left foot halve volley that just whisked by the post.
Shortly before half time Bonnyton's talisman and central midfielder Taylor Smyth gathered the ball just inside his own half and made advanced toward's the Bellfield goal, as he beat three men Taylor got to the by line and drilled the ball low and hard into the six yard box, where Sean Houston applied the finishing touch to put the home side 1-0 up going into the break.

As the condition's worsened both teams showed great commitment and desire to try and keep the ball on the deck, just after half time Bonnyton won a free kick In a dangerous position, Taylor Smyth smashed the ball into the top right hand corner, somehow the keeper managed to make a great save only to see it rebounding to the lucky Sean Houston who tapped in his second of the game.
The second half petered out with the game finishing 2-0 to Bonnyton.
Once again great credit has to go to both teams for trying to play football in the spirit it should be played in in such horrendous conditions.
