The Scottish Schools Football Association have announced that this year’s Senior Shield final will return to Hampden Park. The move comes after five years of not having the final at the national stadium, due in part to the 2012 Olympics and the 2014 Commonwealth games.
The last final was played at Hampden back in 2011 when Larbert High School beat Stranraer Academy 2-0 to lift the trophy. The following teams in round four will be hoping to follow in Larbert’s footsteps:
Douglas Ewart HS v. Lourdes Sec. or Inverclyde Ac. or Oban HS
St.Ninian's HS Giffnock v. Notre Dame HS
St.Peter the Apostle HS v. Strathaven Ac.
Duncanrig Sec. v. Lockerbie Ac. or Holy Cross HS
Bannerman HS v. Holyrood Sec.
Hermitage Ac. v. St.Andrew's Sec. or Paisley Grammar
Bishopbriggs Ac. v. St.Margaret's Ac.
Stirling HS v. St.Joseph's College 3-2
St.Maurice's HS v. Ross HS
Dalkeith HS or Penicuik HS v. St.Margaret's HS
Lasswade HS 2-2 (2-4 pens) Peebles HS
Wallace HS 3-2 Our Lady's HS Cumbernauld
Beath HS v. Harlaw Ac. or Aberdeen Grammar or Cults Ac.
Inverurie Ac. v. Madras College
Thurso HS v. Bell Baxter HS
Balwearie HS v. St.John's HS
The two successful finalists will meet at Hampden on the 22nd of April for a 7pm KO.
