PGBC 2004s Orange
on Saturday the port travelled to ferguslie park to take on Erskine Yellow. The Port started the game the brighter of the two and within a few minutes Marc McDonald had put the port in front, the port had most of the possession in the first half and it wasn't long before Marc had increased the ports lead with another good strike. With the port in front and pressing for another goal erskine looked good on the counter attack and were unlucky too see a tremendous strike from distance come back off the bar.
With the first half fizzling out the port shouldve put the game out of sight with chances for Raymond Keyes Kyle Diver and Peter Ingram. The start of the second half erskine started the better team. The Port struggling to get a grip of the game and couldnt get any rhythm going. A long ball from the erskine defence caught the ports defence and keeper napping with the erskine player running through on goal and putting the ball in the net. Poor goal too lose.
The goal gave Erskine a lift and they played some nice football creating a few chances and hitting the bar. Aaron keyes making up for a previous mistake with a fine double save to keep the port in front. The Port didnt have much of the ball or create any chances of note in the second half but they held on too see the game out. Truely was a game of two halves very good performance first half not so good second.

PGBC 2004s Black
The Port boys travelled to Clydebank to take on Kilpatrick FC at the weekend. As the match kicked of the boys made hard work the priority for the day with every boy battling away. Five minutes into the first half the boys found the breakthrough and would go on to add several more goals playing football from defence through midfield into attack that was a joy to watch. Although Kilpatrick managed to pull a goal back much to the annoyance of the port goalie who was far from pleased at losing his clean sheet the Port boys went into half time leading comfortably. The second half seen more of the same from the port boys working hard in all areas of the park. Some good passing and movement from the boys saw further chances created and a few more goals added.
Although Kilpatrick managed to score again late on in the match to reduce the deficit this was a fantastic display from the boys, with a terrific attitude from every boy from the kick off. Credit to the boys who are continuing to learn with every game. Goalscorers: McGlaughlin, Creen, Baxter, Weston. C

PGBC 2001s 1-4 Clydebank United
Port welcomed Clydebank United to Parklea on Saturday morning. Looking to keep up their recent run of form, Port started the match very poorly. Clydebank opened the scoring early in the match after Port keeper Lewis McClure pulled off a good save but his defence where nowhere to clear the ball. More poor defending from Port saw Clydebank double their advantage midway through the half. Clydebank got their third by walking through almost the entire Port team. Port then got their first real chance of the match when Brandon McCabe floated a nice free kick into the box, Scott Marshall got a good head onto the ball but the Clydebank keeper pulled off a great save onto the post.
Not long before half time Clydebank got their forth when yet again Port failed to clear their lines with some poor defending.
In the second half Port took note of their half time team talk and pressed Clydebank hard. A Scott Marshall corner found Jack Anderson in the box but his shot was saved well by the Clydebank keeper. The pressure finally paid off for Port when Scott Marshall cut in on the left wing to hammer the ball past the helpless Clydebank keeper. Good work by Ross Devine saw him win Port a penalty but unfortunately Brandon McCabe was unable to keep the ball down and blasted over the bar.
The boys all know this was a poor performance and they will need to pick themselves up and work a lot harder.
