Finnart were at home to Drumsagard on a perfect morning for football, but sometimes you cant play the football you like to so you need to dig deep and battle for every ball, it was one of those days.
Drumsagard started brightest and pushed Finnart back, but the back line was holding firm.
Finnart seemed nervy which was surprising as they have started the season well and have been on an unbeaten run in the league since October 2013.
Drumsagard took a deserved lead when the ball was turned across goal for Joe Dickson to head home.
But, soon after this a great pass from Kalvin Rooney sent Jack McIlveen through on goal to score with a great finish, making the score line level and getting Finnart back into the match.
Half Time : Finnart BC 1-1 Drumsagard FA
Second half seen Finnart pick thing's up a little bit, but football wise it wasn't happening, but both sides continued to battle for every ball.
Finnart kept defending whole heartedly and only allowed Drumsagard one real chance, which was excellently saved by the ex Drumsagard keeper Paul Monaghan in the home sides goal, a great personal moment for him.
Then with minutes to go a Kenneth Crampsie header was parried by the Drumsagard keeper and Eoghan Kenny fired the loose ball home, to put Finnart into the lead.
Finnart held on as Drumsagard were unable to come up with a reply.
This was a massive three points for Finnart against a very good footballing team who are also tough to break down.
Full Time : Finnart BC 2-1 Drumsagard FA
