Vacancy: Board committee members

Do you want to play a part in helping young people learn new skills while promoting grassroots football?

Youth Football Scotland (YFS), an award winning social enterprise, is seeking additional committee members to support our non-executive directors on both our finance and growth sub-committees.

Positions are voluntary and involve attending regular (no more than monthly) meetings, in addition to assisting with other strategic level tasks.

YFS is currently going through a very exciting phase. Having firmly established our unique organisation at the heart of the youth football community, steps are being taken to accelerate our social impact and provision of education through football.

Our YFS Media sub-brand, which facilities provision of media to commercial clients across the globe, with profits reinvested in our social aims, is also steadily growing.

We seek talented and passionate individuals who want to join us and help shape that journey.

We are particularly keen to hear from anyone with:

  • Knowledge or experience in the third sector.
  • Demonstrable aptitude in the financial aspects of an organisation, both operationally and in terms of requisite governance.
  • Knowledge and experience of product development.
  • Commercial and sales expertise.

Knowledge or experience in media, education, marketing or fundraising, will also be attractive attributes to us. However, all applications will be considered on their individual merits.

These positions offer a genuine opportunity to make a difference to the development of sport in Scotland, and gain rewarding experience working with a small group of dynamic individuals across the board and workforce.

Youth Football Scotland is an equal opportunities organisation. We promote inclusion and celebrate diversity both in our organisation and all aspects of youth football and sport.

Our remit covers the entire youth football spectrum, from mini kickers to the Scotland National Team’s Under 21s age category. We encourage applications from those with a keen interest and the ability to influence and help us make a difference together for girls’ sport; schools’ sport; para-sport or across areas of social deprivation and minority community groups.

To apply, please send a copy of your CV and a covering note to recruitment@youthfootballscotland.co.uk, explaining why you would be a strong fit for YFS.
