Easterhouse FA pick up all three points in a dominant display at Hamilton Palace Sports Ground

It was a dry but windy afternoon at Hamilton Palace Sports Ground as United Football Academy welcomed Easterhouse FA 2013s for an important match in the GADFYL 2013s Division C!

United would kickoff, but it was Easterhouse with the better start in the game as just four minutes into the game, Solomon Adeniyi shot wide of the post for the first chance of the game. Just a minute later and Easterhouse were in again, Abdulsubhan Usman had his shot comfortably saved by United goalkeeper, Cooper Gordon.

The early pressure would pay off as in the twelfth minute, Abdulsubhan Usman would take the ball round the goalkeeper and tap it home to give his side an early advantage.

United looked to draw level not long after as on 15 minutes, Kayden Watson had his shot saved by Lucas Kennedy. Before the half time break however, it would be Easterhouse who would have the opportunities to double their advantage, and they would, on the stroke of halftime, a low pass across the box found Freddie Ferguson who would tap the ball into the back of the net to double Easterhouse’s advantage just before the break!

Easterhouse would start the second half and they would start it as the better team. Just three minutes into the half and a low cross by Freddie Ferguson found Kai McLaughlin at the back post who calmly finished to give his side a three goal advantage just after half time!

With 20 minutes left in the game, United would get a goal back in the game as a lobbed finish by Finn Colligan to give United a moment to celebrate in the game. However just four minutes later and the three goal advantage was restored for Easterhouse as a shot from the edge of the box fell to Abdulsubhan Usman who scored his second of the game and Easterhouse’s fourth of the afternoon!

Both sides would have chances as the game came to a close but neither side would put the ball in the back of the net and the referee would blow his whistle and it was Easterhouse who would pick up all three points!
