From kick-off, you could see the wide range of talent that both teams have as the determination was visible from the start.

Scoring was underway minutes into the game as Patrick sealed a goal for The W Academy. The ball was played into his feet just yards from the face of the goal as he found the space to calmly send his shot into the back of the net.

Patrick almost had his second goal of the game just six minutes later, but his shot just drifted over the crossbar.

Gray opened the scoring for West as he managed to slide the ball into the bottom left corner of the goal despite the best efforts of Harris in goals.

Liam displayed fantastic defending for The W Academy as he made constant tackles, continued to press the ball and pressure the opposition, as well as blocked shots that were heading for goal.

West had one more shot at the goal however Joey was unable to find the back of the net before the break.

With the second half underway, goals were a common occurrence for the teams who were battling it out for the victory.

The W Academy got their first goal of the second half as Liam managed to control the ball and pass it out wide before it was middled to Ollie who chipped it into the back of the net.

Some great pressing from Oren managed to win West the ball back as he got it out of the feet of the opposition. He set up Christopher to allow him to put the ball in the bottom corner of the goal.

Christopher continued to have multiple shots towards the goal, but his efforts were unfortunate to drift over the bar.

Joey for West then had the ball at his feet at the right post and took a tight angled shot which Liam, who took a stint in goal, managed to get a big hand to but he was unlucky not to clear the ball as Joey’s shot found the back of the net.

Harris for West then took his chances as his shot from a distance powered into the roof of the net for a sensational goal.

It wasn’t long before Finn found himself coming face to face with the West goalkeeper as he demonstrated impressive dribbling to get the ball around the keeper and toe-poking the ball into the goal, getting yet another for The W Academy.

Sofia played for The W Academy as the only girl on the pitch and did excellent at finding space to receive the ball and getting the ball up the park as The W Academy were unlucky not to get another.
