Rossvale FC celebrates 50-year anniversary

Rossvale FC was founded back in 1976, by John Grey. To make the name, he took inspiration from two local streets, Rossie Crescent and Vale Walk.

The Bishopbriggs side is known for wearing red, yellow and black, aligning with Partick Thistle, the team John supported.

A second reason for the colour selection, was to steer clear of the two dominating colours of Glasgow, green and blue.

Throughout the year, the club has host multiple events to celebrate.

A fundraising golf day followed by a clubhouse celebration was held on 22^nd May.

An over 40s and over 50s tournament took place in June.

And finally, an anniversary dinner will be held on 24^th October which will involve a two-course meal, disco, and performance from comedian Ray Bradshaw.
