Stranraer FC Shows Commitment to Prioritise Youth Development

The South-West Scottish League Two side are showing plenty of faith in youth players this season, with their recent clash against The Spartans highlighting this.

The Blues kicked off with a starting XI that had an average age of just 21, with seven players age 21 or under featuring throughout the game.

Their youngest player was just 18, with the oldest only being 24.

This approach shows a willingness to help youth players develop and gain valuable experience.

Featured in their squad is 18-year-old Zach Bruce and 17-year-old Lewis Gillie, both arriving from Hibernian this summer on loan.

Kilmarnock’s Archie Traynor also joins them in July.

The future certainly looks bright at Stairs Park.
