The points were shared in an all-out brawl between Troon Thistle and Troon FC in the NASA U15 Graeme Souness League.

The game was end-to-end at the start, with shots coming in from both teams, in which the keepers were doing extremely well to claim. It was Troon FC to open the scoring through Harry Moran’s lovely finish from an extremely tight angle on the right wing to hit the left post and go into the net for 0-1.
The equaliser did not come far after with Troon Thistle’s George McGarthland instinctively pouncing on the Troon FC keeper’s throw to coolly slot it through the keeper’s legs and make it 1-1.
Once again, there was a goal almost instantly when Ashton Lavelle won the ball on the right wing and drove to the byline to cut it back for Moran to grab his second by calmly sliding it into the bottom corner.
Troon were piling on the pressure from there, with many shots coming at Troon Thistle’s Oliver Kelly, including a shot from Moran that Kelly expertly put away for a corner after getting a strong hand in the bottom left corner to save it. Thistle had one more chance before half-time to score from Alexander Gawn’s volley, but he was unlucky to put it slightly over the bar.
Half-Time Troon Thistle 1-2 Troon FC
Troon Thistle started the second half very fast with McGarthland hitting a volley narrowly wide, but the goal did end up coming through the ball being played across the face of the goal for Jamie Roberston to slot home Troon Thistle’s second equaliser of the game.
Troon Thistle were not done there, though, as Gawn caught the keeper off the line and tried a volley from miles out for it to just marginally miss the net. Thistle ended up winning a corner, and Roberston unbelievably swung it round all the players into the opposite top corner directly from the corner kick with a roar from the sidelines to give Thistle the lead.
Troon FC started to fight back and win themselves a corner, which was headed towards goal, but Arran Dempster was there to head it off the line with brilliant defensive awareness.
Troon won another corner with Lucas Cornelius curving it in to find Adam Campbell’s head, who powerfully headered the ball into the top right corner to equal the game once again in the closing minutes.
Full-Time Troon Thistle 3-3 Troon FC
Troon Thistle Player of the Month: Jamie Roberston
Throughout the game, Roberston had a great attitude even when they were behind, showing determination to keep the ball and having great fight to get both of his goals.
Troon FC Player of the Month: Adam Campbell
Campbell controlled the midfield really well, never giving up on a chance to win the ball and flying into challenges when he needed to, as well as grabbing the last-minute power header to salvage the point for Troon.
Troon Thistle Magic Moment: Arran Dempster’s Goalline Defending
Just when the ball looked destined for the top right corner, Dempster leapt in the air and headed the ball to safety away from the goal to keep Thistle’s lead alive in that moment.
Troon FC Magic Moment: Harry Moran’s Tight-Angled Goal
Moran had run down the right wing looking to cross it, but ended up hitting an extremely tight-angled trivela shot that hit the left post and went in to open the scoring.
