Zenith Coins Player of the Week: Cerys and Jodie from St Conval’s YFC

This week, YFS selected an outstanding duo from Renfrewshire-based club, St Conval’s, with Cerys and Jodie both earning recognition for their impressive performances and commitment to the game.

Both girls have been outstanding in their own way, with coach Julie keen to make sure they received the recognition they deserved for their efforts on and off the pitch.

Cerys leads the line for the Reds and is no stranger to finding the back of the net, having already scored an impressive 70 goals.

One of her standout moments came in last season’s League Cup final, when her side found themselves level at 1-1 with just 10 minutes left.

With the trophy still up for grabs, Cerys stepped up when her team needed her most, scoring twice in the closing stages to secure the victory and help St Conval’s lift the all-important trophy.

Meanwhile, winger Jodie is back better than ever after taking a break from football and has quickly shown just how much she can offer the team.

In the Purple’s most recent league game, Jodie was non-stop from start to finish, putting in a hardworking performance and constantly looking to make things happen.

She even came close to adding a goal of her own, only to see her effort unfortunately denied.

Despite that, Jodie continued to work hard and showed the determination that has seen her make such a positive return to the game.

Her attitude on the pitch is one of her biggest strengths, with the winger always giving her all and looking for ways to improve with every game.

With both Cerys and Jodie continuing to develop and enjoy their football at St Conval’s, there is plenty more to look forward to from the talented duo.

Everyone at YFS congratulates Cerys and Jodie on their achievements and wishes them the very best of luck as they continue their footballing journeys with St Conval’s.
