Zenith Coins Player of the Week: Villa Park Blacks’ Zack Beveridge

Coming back from injury to win his side the Championship League Cup Final, Zack Beveridge of Villa Park Blacks has won this weeks Youth Football Scotland Player of the Week Zenith Coin. 

An incredible season for Zack almost ended on the sidelines as, just two weeks before the Championship League Cup Final, he picked up an injury and missed training, but at the final hour Zack returned from injury and scored in injury time to help lift Villa Park Blacks the trophy. 

Nominating Zack for the YFS Player of the Week Zenith Coin award was manager Derek Stewart who had this to say: “This award would be well deserved for all his efforts not just at the weekend but in every game this season.”

On winning the YFS Player of the Week Zenith Coin award, Zack said: “It feels good to get the award i am happy to get the award and to look back on my performance in the final. And for the families and the coaches who watch us every week it is a pleasure playing and it means everything to us to play for Villa Park Blacks.” 

It’s been a great season for Zack & Villa Park Blacks too as they have sealed a treble, winning the aforementioned Championship League Cup, also winning the CLYFA 2011s Division C, only losing once in their league campaign this season and finally the Central Lanarkshire Youth FA Cup last Thursday. I originally spoke to Zack before the final last Thursday and he said: “My aspirations for this season was to win it all and to win a double. To still have a chance to win the treble is the best thing me and the team could have wished for.”
